Gesu Catholic School is a mission and ministry of Gesu Catholic Church. Gesu School’s purpose is simple: to make God known and give God glory through the education of children.
We do this in the Catholic Christian tradition, with the person of Jesus Christ at the center of all that we do. This is seen most clearly by the name of our church and school; Gesu is the Italian word for the name of Jesus!
For more information about the Catholic Christian tradition and how Catholics worship, you are invited to visit Gesu Catholic Church’s website.

The Roman Catholic Church is the largest Christian denomination in the world, with around 1.4 billion members worldwide. The Catholic Church includes people from every race, tongue, and nation on earth and membership in it is available to anyone who desires to be a member of the Body of Christ.
For a child to become a member there are specific teachings and prayers that should be learned, including: the Our Father, the Hail Mary, the Nicene Creed, and the Ten Commandments. Additionally, a person should learn the prayers and responses of the Mass, which is the communal public prayer of the Catholic Church that takes place every Sunday. For more information about the Catholic Mass and perhaps attending Mass for the first time, you can click here to find a dedicated page to this on Gesu Church’s website. Finally, a child should be able to practice the Catholic faith, including weekly Mass attendance on Sundays, if they want to join the Catholic Church.
For an adult to become a Catholic, there is a process known as the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (also referred to as OCIA). You can find more information about this program of adult Christian formation by clicking here to find a page on Gesu Church’s website about this.
